Using Applications

This guide explains how to connect to a decentralized application (dApp) using Tholos. For this example, we will demonstrate the process with Aave, but the same steps apply to other dApps that support WalletConnect.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Go to the dApp

Navigate to the dApp’s website where you want to perform your transaction (e.g., Aave).

Step 2: Open the “Connect Wallet” Option

Look for and click the “Connect Wallet” button on the dApp’s interface.

Step 3: Select WalletConnect

From the list of available wallet connection methods, select “WalletConnect.”

Step 4: Copy the WalletConnect URL

The dApp will generate a WalletConnect URL. Copy this URL to your clipboard.

Step 5: Open the Tholos Dashboard

Go to dashboard.tholos.app in your web browser and log in if you aren’t already.

Step 6: Click “Connect App”

In the Tholos dashboard, locate and click the “Connect App” button.

Step 7: Paste the WalletConnect URL

In the popup or connection interface, paste the WalletConnect URL you copied earlier and click “Connect.”

Step 8: Perform Desired Actions on the dApp

Once connected, return to the dApp to perform the action you intended (e.g., lending, borrowing, or staking on Aave).

Step 9: Review and Approve on Mobile

Use your mobile device to review and approve the transaction. Ensure all details are correct before confirming.
